Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 2026
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website you visit. Similar technologies — such as localStorage, sessionStorage, and tracking pixels — work in comparable ways. This policy covers all of them when we use them on radialnotion.com.
Cookies help a site remember your choices, keep things running smoothly, and understand how visitors interact with it. We try to keep our use of these technologies to the minimum needed to run Radial Notion properly.
2. Why We Use Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep Radial Notion running, remember your preferences (like whether you've verified your age), and understand how visitors use our games in aggregate. We also participate in paid-advertising campaigns through Google Ads, which means advertising-related cookies may be present when you arrive via a paid link.
3. Categories of Cookies We Use
| Category | Purpose | Examples | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keep the site functional: session handling, security, age-gate state, and storing your cookie consent preference. | __age_ok, __cc_v1 (localStorage) | Session to 12 months. No consent required. |
| Performance / analytics | Anonymous, aggregated traffic measurement so we can identify slow pages and broken flows. Cloudflare Web Analytics processes this without cookies; the __cf_bm bot-management cookie may also be set by Cloudflare. | __cf_bm | Up to 30 days. Set only with consent. |
| Functional | Remembers UI preferences such as game volume settings and animation choices across sessions. | localStorage keys set by game widgets | Up to 12 months. Set only with consent. |
| Advertising / targeting | When you arrive via a Google Ads or Microsoft Advertising campaign, those platforms may set cookies to measure ad performance and attribution. We do not use these cookies to profile visitors for retargeting on other sites. | Google Ads cookies (Google's cookie policy); Microsoft Advertising (Microsoft Privacy) | Up to 13 months. Set only with consent. |
4. Lawful Basis (UK GDPR + PECR)
Under UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), strictly necessary cookies may be set without consent because they are essential for the service you requested — they fall under our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR). All other cookie categories — performance, functional, and advertising — require your prior consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR). You can give or withdraw that consent at any time; withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out.
5. Managing Your Cookies on Radial Notion
When you first visit the site, a cookie-consent banner gives you the choice to "Accept all" or "Essential only". Your choice is stored in localStorage under the key __cc_v1. To change your preference at any time, clear that key using your browser's developer tools (Application → Local Storage → radialnotion.com), or simply clear all site data for radialnotion.com in your browser settings — the banner will reappear on your next visit.
6. Managing Cookies in Your Browser
You can also control or delete cookies directly in your browser. Here are the help pages for the most common browsers:
Note: blocking all cookies may affect the functionality of some features, such as remembering your age-verification preference between visits.
7. Third-Party Cookies and Services
The following third parties may set cookies when you use Radial Notion (subject to your consent choices):
- Cloudflare — CDN, security, and performance. May set
__cf_bmfor bot management. See Cloudflare Privacy Policy. - Google — Analytics and Ads attribution when arriving via a paid campaign. See Google Cookie Policy. Set only with consent.
- Microsoft Advertising — Ads attribution when arriving via a paid campaign. See Microsoft Privacy Statement. Set only with consent.
8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends a GPC header, we treat it as a withdrawal of consent for analytics and advertising cookies — only strictly necessary cookies will be set during that visit. We currently do not alter our behaviour based on the older Do Not Track (DNT) header alone, as it has no standardised meaning across browsers.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, regulation, or our practices. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to check back periodically.
